On the morning of May 16, the 3rd China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair kicked off in Ningbo, China. Wang Yong, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Sinisa Mali (via video link), Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and Péter Szijjártó (on-site), Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also attended and delivered speeches. Yi Lianhong, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress, delivered a welcome speech, and Guo Tingting, Vice Minister of Commerce, delivered a speech. Before the opening ceremony, Vice Minister Guo Tingting accompanied Wang Yong to tour the expo venue. Wu Zhengping, Director-General of the Trade Development Bureau (TDB) of the Ministry of Commerce, participated in the above activities.

With the theme of “Practical Cooperation for a Shared Future”, this CEEC Expo is co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, and hosted by the People’s Government of Ningbo City, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province and the TDB of the Ministry of Commerce. The expo features three exhibition areas: the CEEC Expo, the International Consumer Goods Exhibition, and the CEEC Products Permanent Exhibition, with an exhibition area of 220,000 square meters.

The CEEC Expo is highlighted by three “first times”: the first-time use of new venues, the first-time adoption of professional exhibition arrangement, and the first-time opening of a service trade exhibition area. The expo focuses on CEEC’s agri-food products and special consumer goods, and makes every effort to achieve the import goals proposed by the China-CEEC Summit.

During the expo, TDB Director-General Wu Zhengping attended the CEEC Products Purchase Conference and Agricultural Products Dialogue on May 16 and delivered a speech.
