On the morning of June 17, the 2023 China • Langfang International Economic & Trade Fair (hereinafter referred to as the Langfang Fair), co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) and the People’s Government of Hebei Province commenced in Langfang, Hebei. Wang Zhengpu, Governor of the People’s Government of Hebei Province, Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, Wang Lingjun, Vice Minister of the GACC, Zhao Chongjiu, Member of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Transport (MOT) and Director-General of the State Post Bureau, Sima Hong, Vice Mayor of Beijing, Yang Bing, Vice Mayor of Tianjin and Marcos Galvão, Brazilian Ambassador to China attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Zhang Xiangchen, Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) attended and addressed the opening ceremony via video link. Ni Yuefeng, Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) announced the commencement of the Langfang Fair via video link. Jin Hui, Deputy Governor of Hebei Province presided over the opening ceremony.

Wu Zhengping, Director-General and Wang Deyang, Deputy Director-General of the Trade Development Bureau (TDB) of the MOFCOM participated in the relevant activities as well.

Themed “to jointly build an important base for modern trade logistics and to promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,” this year’s Langfang Fair held the China (Langfang) Cross-Border E-Commerce and Smart Logistics Expo at the Langfang Airport International Convention and Exhibition Center, which covers an area of 39,000 square meters in total. This expo was composed of three parts, namely Thematic Exhibition on Striving to Write a Brilliant Chapter on Hebei’s Journey to Chinese Modernization, Industrial Chain Exhibition on New Business Forms of Modern Trade and Logistics and Cross-Border Trade, and International E-Commerce Platform Broadcasting Invitational, displaying a panorama of the scenes in Hebei regarding the initiative to advance the Chinese path to modernization, and the industrial chains of modern trade and logistics and cross-border trade new business forms. In the meantime, the main forum titled International Cross-Border E-Commerce Development Forum, Industrial Investment Promotions and Thematic Seminars, the China (Langfang) Cross-Border E-Commerce and Smart Logistics Expo and a series of other activities were held.
