China-CEE Cultural and Trade Activity was held at the Cultural Fair during the 3rd China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair to further build a practical cooperation platform between Chinese and CEEC enterprises and promote cultural trade and sustainable development. The event was organized by the Trade Development Bureau (TDB) of the Ministry of Commerce to strengthen and facilitate the cultural and trade cooperation between CEEC and China. Director-General Wu Zhengping attended the activity and delivered a speech on May 16.
Hungary is the guest of honor at this expo, and this year coincides with the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Hungarian patriotic poet Sándor Petőfi. Director-General Wu Zhengping was invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the art installation commemorating the 200th anniversary of Petőfi’s birth.
Vladislav Spasov, Consul General of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai, spoke highly of the event via video. He said that the expo, as the only national exhibition for China-CEEC cooperation, offers precious opportunities to present characteristic Bulgarian products to Chinese consumers. He thanked the TDB of the Ministry of Commerce and the Joint Laboratory of Digital Cultural Trade for organizing the CEEC Cultural Bazaar, giving them a good opportunity to establish a connection with China. Cultural exchange has always been one of the most fruitful areas of China-CEEC cooperation. He hoped that all parties can gain a better experience of Bulgarian culture and art at the Cultural Fair, all with fruitful results.
The CEEC Cultural Fair is organized by the TDB of the Ministry of Commerce and consists of booths from Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina and many other countries. As the only cultural exhibition zone at this expo, the Cultural Bazaar adds artistic touches to the fair with its rich exhibits and artistic atmosphere.
